Pierce Brosnan promoting Rum Watch

Pierce Brosnan, an actor well-known playing James Bond, was involved in the Polish-Swiss project. As an ambassador of Speake-Marin watches, he is now promoting the limited edition Rum Watch, which is the result of a collaboration between the Swiss manufacture and Polish company Wealth Solutions.

  1. The Rum Watch is the first Swiss watch to contain a drop of rum inside. It is not your usual rum, but the 1780 Harewood Rum, the oldest in the world. It takes its name after the mansion in central England where it was discovered in 2011 during stocktaking of the house’s cellars. The bottle of this unique rum was purchased in 2015 by Polish company Wealth Solutions, which specialises in trading art work, collector’s items and rare alcoholic beverages. The 1780 rum was encapsulated in the Rum Watch thanks to the collaboration between Wealth Solutions and Speake-Marin. The result is a limited edition of 59 gold or titanium watches, which are a real treat for enthusiasts of both unique watches and rare alcoholic beverages.

Pierce Brosnan, the ambassador of Speake-Marin, got involved in promoting this unique project. Brosnan’s adventure with the Swiss manufacturer started when he befriended the owner and founder, Peter Speake-Marin, and became fascinated with watches he creates. They became friends in 2014, on the set of the film Survivor, in which Brosnan stars as a killer watchmaker. It was Peter Speake-Marin who passed his passion of mechanical watches to Brosnan after letting him into the secrets of watchmaking for the purpose of the movie. As a result, Pierce Brosnan has been Speake-Marin’s ambassador since 2015, and is now promoting the Rum Watch.
